In 1978, former Salisbury University Student Mary Etta Creighton collected folk material. Her collection focuses on the lumber industry of Dorchester County, Maryland, specifically the traditions and lifestyles of the people who made their living from timber lands. Her own family is in the lumber business since her grandfather initiated the family tradition. The transcripts of the interviews and some photographs are enclosed.
